Households in the Letteragh area of Galway city are experiencing water outages for the second day in a row due to broken mains.
Irish Water reported a burst main this morning causing water outages on the Circular Road, Letteragh Road, The Heath and surrounding areas.
It was estimated earlier that repairs would be completed by 3:30pm, but no update has been issued yet.
This is the second day in a row when the water supply in Letteragh has been disrupted by burst mains.
A broken pipe was also reported on the Letteragh road yesterday, with Irish Water saying that repairs were completed at 3:59pm.
Households are advised that it may take 2 – 3 hours for full water supply to be restored after repairs are complete.
