Large numbers of homes in Ballinasloe are experiencing water outages today due to a major burst mains in town.
Irish Water reported a burst water mains on the north side of Ballinasloe around 11:15am this morning.
This is causing water outages to Creagh, Glentaun, Hawthorn, Ballinasloe and surrounding areas today.
Repairs works are underway, and are currently expected to be completed by 6pm on Monday.

Outages are also expected in north Galway until 4pm this afternoon due to a power outage.
A planned power outage by the ESB will disrupt water to homes and businesses on the Ballymoe Public Water Supply.
