Hundreds of homes in the east side of Galway City are experiencing water outages which will continue until Sunday evening due to a burst mains.
A burst water main on the Monivea Road is affecting the water supply to Monivea Road, Dughuiska Road, Briarhill, Coolagh Village, Ardaun and surrounding areas.
Repairs are not expected to be completed until 5pm on Sunday Irish Water has said.
Traffic lights will be in place on the Monivea Road while work is taking place.
