People living in parts of Tuam and Oranmore may experience intermittent water outages today due to mains flushing works taking place.
Irish Water and Galway County Council are carrying out mains flushing works in the two towns which are scheduled to run from 9am to 4pm today.
In Tuam this may cause water outages for people living in The Birches and surrounding areas.
While in Oranmore the works will disrupt the water supply to the Oakfield and Ashbrook estates.
Other repair works taking place in Tuam may also cause water outages to homes and businesses along the Dunmore Road today and tomorrow.
The works, which are part of the leak reduction programme, are scheduled to take place from 8am until 6pm Thursday and Friday, March 4 – 5.
Irish Water advises that it may take 2 – 3 hours after any works are completed before people see their full water supply restored.
