People looking for apartments in Oranmore could end up living over a shopping centre going by new development plans submitted to the county council.
Thunder Gulch Ltd is seeking planning permission to convert a vacant office/commercial space on the 2nd floor of Carraig Lair Shopping Centre in Oranmore into seven apartments.
The gross floor space of the proposed apartments is 602sq metres, but the development also includes communal amenity space.
Carraig Lair Shopping Centre is a three storey building on Main Street Oranmore, with tenants including HomeWorld, Saz barbers, and Concepts Ladies Fashion store.
Public submissions concerning this development can be made to the county council until October 7.
The council is due to make a decision on whether to grant planning permission for this development by October 28.
