UHG is the second most overcrowded hospital in Ireland for the third time this week.

There are 46 patients on trolleys today at University Hospital Galway according to the INMO’s Trolley/Ward Watch, down slightly from 51 on Thursday.

It only comes behind UH Limerick (54) for overcrowding, and is followed by Cork UH (42), and South Tipperary (39).

Portiuncula is having a better day, with not a single patient going without a bed today according to the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation.
