Two more people have died from COVID-19 in the Republic, bringing the total number of deaths related to the virus in the state to nine.
There has also been an increase of 235 in the number confirmed cases in the state.
The latest county figures show that in Galway, five more people have tested positive for the virus.

The two patients diagnosed with COVID-19 who have died were in the east of the country, the Department of Health has said.
The total number of cases in the state now stands at 1,564, while the total on the island of Ireland is 1,771.
