Traffic in the Loughrea area will be affected by two days of roadworks getting underway this morning.
Galway county council has ordered a stretch of the LP 4300 at Mullagh, Loughrea closed for two days this week for resurfacing overlay roadworks.
The road will be closed from 9:30am to 7pm on Wednesday, June 5 and Thursday, June 6 to allow these works to take place.
“As a consequence users of this road are requested to expect delays and as such should allow additional time for their journeys,’’ the county council said.
The contract for these works has been awarded to Lagan Asphalt Ltd.
