Roadworks on the main road at Caltra are getting underway this morning, and will disrupt traffic in the east Galway village for two days this week.
Galway County Council is carrying out resurfacing overlay works on the R358 Caltra this week.
In order to facilitate these works, the road in question will be operated on a Stop/Go system during the hours of 8am to 6pm on Monday and Tuesday.
As a consequence users of this road should allow additional time for their journeys.
Three day roadworks on Abbey Street in Portumna have also started today, and the section of road in question will be closed during the day from Monday to Wednesday.
