Four Galway train services have been cancelled today and will be operating as bus transfers instead due to an “operational issue” Irish Rail has said.
The four commuter services affected today are between Galway and Athenry, and Galway and Ennis.
- 16.30 Galway/Athenry
- 16.55 Athenry/Galway
- 18.40 Galway/Ennis
- 20.30 Ennis/Galway (19.50 will depart Limerick and bus transfer from Ennis)
Due to an operational issue. The following services are cancelled tomorrow Wednesday 07th of October and will be operated as bus transfers.

Two other trains from Galway to Heuston were at reduced capacity this morning due to ongoing issues caused by vandalism, which resulted in disruptions on Tuesday evening.
Due to vandalism, the following services will operate with reduced capacity tomorrow Wednesday the 7th of October.
