Traffic on the N59 is being disrupted by a number of fallen trees on the road today.
Gardaí are currently managing traffic on the N59 at Oughterard due to fallen trees.
A Garda spokesperson said that traffic is down to one lane on the road.
Workers from Galway County Council are currently on their way to assist with moving the trees.
A status yellow weather warning for winds gusting up to 100km/hr is currently in effect in Galway.
The warning, which was issued yesterday, will remain in place until 6am on Saturday.
