Diversions are in place for roadworks outside Laurencetown which got underway this morning, and are expected to last six weeks.

Galway County Council is carrying out roadworks on the L4306 road at Redmount Hill, Laurencetown, Ballinasloe.

The works began today, Monday November 2, and are expected to continue to Monday, December 14.

In order to facilitate these works a temporary traffic diversion will be in place on the section of road in question.

As a consequence users of this road are requested to expect delays and as such should allow additional time for their journeys.

The contract for these works has gone to the Laurencetown based Kenny Civils & Plant Ltd.
