An Garda Síochána has said that the Headford Road has been closed in the Curraghline area of Co. Galway this afternoon, Thursday 28 April.
Emergency services are currently at the scene along the N84 where they are attending to a gorse fire.
Gardaí have sad that road users should expect delays if they are travelling along this route this afternoon.
Gorse fires were reported to the authorities yesterday evening in the area.
