A street in central Galway City will be closing for one week early next month while infrastructure works are taking place.
The City Council has issued notice that New Road will be closed 24/7 from Tuesday, May 2 through to Tuesday, May 9.
During this time, New Road will be shut between its junctions with Mill Street and Parkavara.
The road closure is being put in place in order to allow upgrade works on the late water network infrastructure.
A temporary diversion route will be in place via Parkavara, and local access will be maintained at all times.
