The road between Moylough and Clonbern will be closed for three weeks next month in order to allow a bridge to be replaced.
Galway County Council is demolishing and replacing a bridge on the R328, with work due to take place in August.
In order to facilitate these works, the road will be closed between Clonbern village and its junction with the N63 at Moylough.
The period of closure is scheduled to be from 9am on Monday, August 9 to 5pm on Friday, August 27.
Local access will be maintained during this time.
