Galway Daily news Roadworks to disrupt traffic near Portumna on Tuesday

Traffic disruption is expected between Galway City and Oranmore for the coming days due to extensive roadworks taking place.

Galway County Council is carrying out resurfacing overlay works on the R446 dual carriageway between Galway City and Oranmore.

The works will commence on Friday, November 10 and are expected to take eight days to complete.

The roadworks will be carried out on the eastbound lanes of the road between Galway Clinic and Carrowmoneash roundabout.

In order to facilitate these works a traffic management plan will be in place while they are underway.

Eastbound traffic will be reduced to a single lane with a speed limit of 50km/h during the roadworks.

As a consequence, users of this road should expect delays and as such should allow additional time for their journeys.
