Traffic between Athenry and the motorway will be disrupted throughout this week due to five day roadworks taking place.
Galway County Council is carrying out road reinstatement works on the connector road from Athenry towards M6 Motorway Junction 17.
The roadworks are getting underway on Monday morning, and are scheduled to continue until Friday, July 8.
In order to facilitate these works, the road will be closed to traffic from the direction of Athenry to the motorway from 9:30am to 4:30pm each day.
However, traffic on the motorway will still be able to exit towards Athenry through the roadworks during this period.
Diversions will be in place on the Local road network to facilitate drivers heading to Galway/Limerick or Dublin/Loughrea.
