Claddagh Quay in central Galway City will be closing for five days next week while infrastructure works are being carried out.
The city council is closing Claddagh Quay from the junction with Father Griffin Road to the junction with Priory Road.
The reason for the road closure is to allow for the installation of a new manhole in the roadway, and to divert the pipe into a new sewer.
The road will be shut from 7am on Monday, October 16 until 7pm on Friday, October 19.
A temporary diversion route will be in place via Fairhill Road Lower and Priory Road during this time, and localised access will be maintained.
Advance diversion signage will be in place prior to work commencing.
