Traffic in the Castlegar area of Galway city is being disrupted by repairs to a burst water mains pipe this morning, and will continue to be affected throughout the day.
A traffic management plan will be in place for the duration of the repair works today Irish Water has said.
They are currently estimated to be completed by 5pm this evening.
Residents of the Tuam Road, School Road, Parkmore, Castlegar and surrounding areas of the city may experience water outages during the day.
People in the affected areas are also advised that it may take 2-3 hours after repairs have been completed for their full water supply to be restored.
