A third teenager has died today after a car went into the water in Galway City in the early hours of Saturday.
Gardaà and emergency services responded to a car going into the water at Menlo pier on the outskirts of the city at appriximately 2:40am this morning.
Three teenage males were taken from the water and brought to University Hospital Galway.
Two of the males were later pronounced dead at hospital, while Gardaà said that the third was in critical condition.
In a statement this evening, Gardaà have said that the third teenager has now also passed away.
The scene at Menlo Pier remains preserved for technical examination by Forensic Collision Investigators.
