Galway Daily news Journey into an otherworldly place in a Fairy walk through Merlin Woods

Take a dive into into a realm of magic and wonder along an enchanted Fairy Walk in Merlin Woods this month.

The Friends of Merlin Woods are holding their annual Merlin Fairy Walk on April 27 and all are welcome to join them.

Explore the fairy villages for one day only as the fairies allow us to enter their world and see the world they inhabit.

Meet Cleite the fairy as she tells us about the lives of these otherworldly beings and all the mischief she gets up to.

More than that, she will talk about the connection that fairies have with nature, how they live in harmony with it, and how we can do the same.

That spirit of harmony will be found in The Interspecies Treaty Book by The Merlin Collective which shows us how to respect and love the natural world, giving people a chance to sign a pact to look after nature on the day.

The walk will be leaving from Merlin Woods Community garden at 2pm sharp which is just past the playground in Doughiska.

Anyone who wants to come along is encouraged to dress up as fairy, elf, superhero or woodland creature.

The Friends of Merlin Woods have suggested a donation of €5 per child and no more than €15 per family to cover costs.

Adults go free. Please wear suitable footwear as paths can be uneven in places. Paths are accessible to buggies.
