A status Yellow wind warning has been issued for six counties along the west coast including Galway by Met Eireann.
Met Eireann are warning of high winds from Friday afternoon until early Saturday afternoon.
Winds in the range of 50 to 65km/hr can be expected, with gusts as strong as 90 to 100km/hr on Friday evening when conditions will be at their worst.
Other than Galway, the yellow warning has been issued for Donegal, Mayo, Sligo, Clare, and Kerry.
The wind warning applies from 3pm on Friday, November 2 until midday on Saturday, November 3.
