Met Éireann has issued a Status Orange weather warning for Galway and five other counties ahead of ‘severe winds’ tomorrow, as Storm Diana looks set to batter the west and south.
The weather warning comes into force at 9am and will remain in place until 2pm.
The weather experts say that there is a risk of coastal flooding as severe winds associated with the Storm will bring gusts of up to 130 km/h.
This coincides with high seas.
Strong winds and rain battered many areas today and the unsettled weather looks set to continue as the week goes on.
