Met Éireann say that St. Patrick’s Day will be a cold, cloudy and windy day that will continue to get colder through the afternoon.
While there will be some bright spells in Galway, scattered showers will turn progressively more wintry as the day goes on and blustery easterly winds will add a significant wind chill.
Highest temperatures of only 4 to 7 degrees are expected.
Most of the showers will take place in late morning – early afternoon.
