Galway city council is now accepting applications for projects under the Social Inclusion Grant Scheme.
This scheme provides financial support for voluntary, non-profit organisations with projects or programmes which promote social inclusion and diversity.
“This funding is made available to groups whose projects reflect Galway City Council’s values with regards to equality, human rights, dignity, participation and inclusion.”
“Projects should promote respect for others and encourage diversity,” the application guideline state.
Applicants should demonstrate how their projects enable and recognise the right of people, in particular those experiencing disadvantage and exclusion, to participate.
Application forms can be downloaded at www.galwaycity.ie.
The closing date for receipt of applications is 4pm on Friday, May 31.
