Six weeks of N83 roadworks get underway

Roadworks on the N83 at Cloonacauneen are expected to cause traffic delays for the next six weeks.

Construction on road improvement roadworks on the N83 at An Poll Caoin got underway this morning.

The project will involve planing out and reinstating the road surface, as well as road marking and drainage works.

A traffic management plan will be in place for the duration of the roadworks.

The contract for the project has been awarded to John Madden & Sons Ltd by Galway County Council.

All told, the project is expected to take six weeks to complete.
