Silverstrand Beach will be shut for the next fortnight while the city council carries out repair works.
Galway City Council has said that “essential repairs” at Silverstrand Beach are taking place from Monday, February 15.
Access to the beach will not be permitted for swimming or other water based activities during this time.
The access road will also be closed off to pedestrians and cyclists.
