Shocking footage has emerged online that appears to show a rodent in a light fixture at University Hospital Galway.
The short video, which was allegedly taken at the emergency department at UHG, has received a lot of attention on popular social media pages.
The person who posted the video says that her 83-year- old aunt had been on a chair and then a trolley for over ten hours before she spotted the rodent in the light above her.
She said that at first she thought that her aunt was hallucinating when she asked, ‘is that a mouse in the light?’
It then became apparent that there appeared to be something running around inside the light fixture.
She described the conditions as ‘disgraceful’ and she ‘tagged’ Minister for Health Simon Harris, An Taoiseach Leo Varadkar, Saolta Group and the HSE in the post on Twitter.
