The missing person appeal for David Slanina has been stood down following the discovery of a body in Sligo this afternoon.
Yesterday, Gardaí renewed their appeal for help locating the 22-year-old who had been missing from his home in Sligo since last Saturday.
An Garda Síochána thanked the public for their assistance.
