Roadworks taking place near Gort will cause traffic disruptions on Friday due to a one day road closure.
Galway county council has ordered a section of the LP 4506 at Raheen, Kiltartan, Gort to close on Friday, May 24 to facilitate Resurfacing Overlay roadworks.
The stretch of road in question will be closed from 7am to 7pm to allow work to take place.
The county council is advising motorists travelling near Gort tomorrow to expect delays and to allow extra time for their journeys due to this.
The contract for these works has been awarded to the Lagan Asphalt Group.
