The Oranmore to Craughwell road has reopened after being closed earlier today due to a serious traffic accident.
One man was seriously in a two vehicle traffic accident on the R446 just outside Oranmore yesterday evening.
Gardai said that a motorcycle and a car collided around 5pm on Wednesday.
The driver of the motorcycle, a man in his 20s, was taken to UHG with what were described as “serious injuries”.
The road was closed to allow for a forensic examination to take place, but has since reopened to traffic.
