Galway County Council have advised that repair works to a burst water main will leave parts of the county east of the city without water until later this afternoon.
The burst main is affecting water customers from Cave, near Corrofin, down to Ballincourty, Clainbridge.
The county council and Irish Water have dispatched repair teams to the site of the burst main and works are underway.
Full supply is expected to be restored to the affected areas by 4pm this afternoon.
Galway County Council have apologised for any inconvenience this causes to homes and businesses left without water.
