A series of public information events on the proposed route of the Galway to Oughterard Greenway will take place next month.
Since June 2023 the team leading the greenway project have been liaising with landowners and representatives on developing a preferred route.
These discussions and the feedback received from last year’s public consultation have helped the Project Team finalise the Preferred Route Corridor (PRC) for the greenway and identify an Emerging Preferred Route (i.e. a centreline) within the PRC.
Three public information events on the preferred route will be held next week, with landowners and other interested members of the public invited to attend.
- Tuesday, March 19 – Oughterard Courthouse, 12pm – 8pm
- Wednesday, March 20 – Orbsen Building, University of Galway, 12pm – 8pm
- Thursday, March 21 – Wildlands, Moycullen, 12pm – 8pm
Members of the project team will be present throughout the day at these three events to discuss the next steps for the project and any queries that the public may have.
Further information, along with drawings and interactive maps, can be found on the project website at galwaytooughterardgreenway.ie.
