galway blight warning met eireann

Met Eireann has issued a warning for potato blight for Connacht for the next few days.

The status yellow environmental warning comes as conditions conducive to the spread of potato blight will occur over Connacht, Ulster and Munster.

These humid conditions are expected to give way for fresher weather by the weekend.

Met Eireann says today will be warm and humid with highest temperatures of 17 to 21 C.

And it will remain mild tonight, with lowest temperatures of about 14 degrees expected.

Tomorrow will see temperatures around 20 degrees again in the afternoon, however, like today, there won’t be much sunshine to accompany the warm weather.

Friday will be less humid than today and tomorrow, with some sunny spells forecast for Galway in the afternoon with temperatures reaching 21 degrees.
