Formerly independent county councillor for Ballinasloe Aisling Dolan has joined Fine Gael and will be standing for them in the next general election.
Counillor Dolan will be contesting the Roscommon-Galway constituency, which her council district of Ballinasloe straddles, for Fine Gael alongside Senator Maura Hopkins when a general election comes around.
