Plans have been submitted to the county council for a new preschool facility in Oranmore.
Planning permission is being sought to convert a first floor office space in Oranmore to use for preschool and after school services.
According to planning documents submitted to the county council, the facility would operate as a preschool from 8am to 12pm, and from 1:20pm to 6pm as an after school homework club.
It is not intended that there would be any cooking on site, with only hot snacks provided to the children.
Galway county council is due to make a decision on this planning application by May 20.
