Plans have been submitted to the county council for the construction of 13 houses on a 0.47 hectare site on the outskirts of Ballinasloe.
Planning permission is being sought for a housing development at Glentaun, Ballinasloe, comprising 13 three-bed houses, and associated site works.
The estate would have a total of 26 car parking spaces, two per house.
A Flood Risk Assessment Report has been submitted with this application to the council.
Two objections have been made to this proposed housing development, saying that it is out of character with the surrounding area and would result in overlooking of neighbouring properties.
Concerns have also been expressed about boundary walls and tree lines between the site of the housing estate, and adjacent properties.
Galway County Council is due to make a decision on this planning application by December 8.
