Plans for the development of a wind farm in East Galway are currently in their very early stages.
Killuremore Renewable Energy Limited is seeking approval for the construction of a wind farm consisting of 14 wind turbines.
The development would be located at Killure More and surrounding townlands, north west of Ballinasloe.
The project would also include electrical infrastructure and a grid connection to the 110kV Somerset substation.
The plans are currently at the pre-application consultation stage with An Bord Pleanála and County Council.
It is only after this is concluded that a full planning application has been made.
