Residents of the Monivea area could be without water overnight because of a burst water main.
A burst water main in the Monivea area us affecting the water supply to Monivea, Belville, and the surrounding area in the county.
The county council and Irish Water are aware of the burst main, but a contractor cannot come out to make repairs until Thursday morning.

There is a burst watermain in Belville, Monivea (Mid-Galway RWSS) resulting in reduced water pressure / loss of supply for some residents. A contractor will be sent out to make repairs to the burst pipes tomorrow morning according to Galway County Council.
It’s expected that repair works will be completed by 2pm on Thursday afternoon.
A traffic management plan will be in place in the area of the burst main while repairs are being carried out tomorrow.
