Galway City Council has made an order closing the Old Dublin Road under the railway bridge in October.
The road is being closed in order to facilitate essential bridge repairs.
The closure will last for eleven days from Monday, October 21 until Thursday, October 31 inclusive.
Diversion signage will be put in place by the city council ahead of the closure.
Local access will be maintained at all time during the period of works.

Objections to the proposed temporary closure may be submitted in writing to the city council transportation department until midday on Thursday, September 5.
