Local Link have announced that they will be operating a new bus service from Potumna to Ballinasloe starting on August 7.
The new service will go from Portumna Castle and Abbey to Ballinasloe train station with stops at the N65 bus stop and the Irish Workhouse Centre in Portumna, Laurencetown, Portiuncula Hospital, and Dunlo street in Ballinasloe.
During the summer it will run six times daily from Monday to Saturday and twice a day on a Sunday.
In winter there will only be four buses a day from Monday to Saturday and two on Sunday.

Local link provides door to door and scheduled bus services in towns, villages, and rural areas through a combination of contracted private operators and its own buses.
They have over 80 services covering Galway county.
Tickets for the Portumna to Ballinasloe service will range from €2.50 to €6 for an adult single, and up to €9 for an adult return.
Children aged 5 to 18 travel half price and Free Travel Pass holders go free.
