Over 800 homes and businesses in Galway are without electricity this afternoon due to multiple power outages caused by high winds.
The single largest power outage is in Oughterard, where a line fault has resulted in 608 homes and business going without electricity.
The next largest outage is in Spiddal, where 108 homes have lost their power, while another outage in Clifden is affecting 21 premises.
In Salthill a cluster of three outages have left 38 homes without power, and the final outage reported today is in Claregalway, affecting 55 properties.
The ESB is currently estimating that all of these faults will be repaired before 4pm this afternoon.
A status yellow weather warning for high winds is in force in Galway today, and will remain in place until 6pm this evening.
Winds of 65km/hr can be expected throughout the day, with gusts reaching up to 110km/hr.
There is also an elevated risk of coastal flooding Met Eireann has cautioned, due to a combination of waves, spring tides and surge.
