A status Yellow weather warning has been issued by Met Éireann for County Galway, as heavy rainfall looks set to last from this evening until tomorrow evening.
The status Yellow rainfall warning also extends to Longford, Cavan, Donegal, Leitrim, Roscommon, Sligo, Clare, Cork, Kerry and Limerick.
A spell of rain will lead to accumulations of 25mm to 35mm of rainfall over a 24 hour period.
The warning was issued earlier today and is valid for one day, from today, Sunday 20 May at 7pm – until 7pm tomorrow, Monday 21 May.
There is some good news though – as things are looking good for later in the week, with a long-lasting heatwave ready to hit the country from Wednesday, with the best of the weather coming next weekend!
