The Road Safety Authority is holding a memorial service for those killed in road traffic incidents in Galway this weekend.
As part of  ‘World Remembrance Day for Road Traffic Victims’ a ceremony will take place at the Clayton Hotel on the Dublin Road on Sunday, November 17 from 2pm – 3pm.
This memorial service is meant as a remembrance for those who have lost their lives on Galway’s roads, as well as those who have suffered life changing injuries.
It also pays tributes to the families, friends, and communities which have been devastated by these losses.
At the ceremony some family members, representatives from the Road Safety Authority, An Garda SÃochána, Emergency Services, road safety support organisations & local clergy will say a poem or prayer to remember those lost.
A candlelit ceremony will also take place at the event.
