Gardaí are currently at the scene of a two vehicle traffic collision at Inverin, where one person was hospitalised.
One man in his 40s was taken to University Hospital Galway after being injured in the collision involving a car and a van today.
The crash occurred on the R336 road at Inverin, at approximately 9:20am this morning.
Emergency services also remain at the scene of the incident.
The road is currently closed, and local diversions are in place.
