Gardaí in Galway are investigating a car crash which claimed the life of a man in his 30s last week.
An unreported single vehicle crash involving an SUV took place on a minor road, the L4102, at Slievaun, Clarinbridge last week.
The crash occurred shortly after 9:15am on the morning of Thursday, January 9.
The sole occupant of the SUV, a man in his 30s, was found dead at his home in Clarinbridge the following day.
The local coroner was informed and a post mortem examination took place. From the results of this Gardaí opened an investigation into the crash.
Garda forensic investigators have examined both the vehicle and the scene of the collision.
Investigating Gardaí are asking for anyone who may have witnessed the collision to come forward.
This includes anyone with dashcam or other video footage from the area at the time of the incident.
