A man in his 30s has been killed following a traffic collision involving a car and a lorry in the west of Ireland on Monday evening.
GardaĆ and emergency services attended the scene of a fatal road traffic collision in Claremorris, Co. Mayo yesterday.
The crash involving a car and a lorry took place on the N17 at Corbally around 5:20pm.
The driver of the car, a man aged in his 30s, was killed in the crash.
An Garda SĆochĆ”na has said that no other injuries have been reported from this collision.
The road remained closed overnight, with local diversions in place, to allow for a technical examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators today.
GardaĆ are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to come forward.
GardaĆ are also appealing for any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) who were travelling in the area at the time of the collision to make this footage available to them.
