Glinsk GAA club is planning a range of major improvements to the club’s facilities, with plans for a new pitch, play and exercise area, parking and more.
The East Galway GAA club is seeking planning permission from Galway County Council for a wide range of new facilities and site improvements.
These include a the addition of new 880m² astro turf playing pitch, and a 293m² children’s play area.
It is also intended to add a new walking track with outdoor gym equipment and 5m high LED lighting around it.
The proposed walking track would go around the existing GAA pitch, which would see its existing ball stop nets relocated, and its floodlights upgraded to new LED lights.
The club also intends to demolish a storage building at the club, and replace it with seven new parking spaces, one of which will be a disabled space.
Galway County Council is due to make a decision on this planning application by April 12.
