Roadworks outside Loughrea will cause traffic disruptions disruptions for three days while underway next week due to daily road closures.
Galway county council are carrying out resurfacing overlay roadworks on the L4211 at Rafarn, Loughrea on Tuesday & Wednesday, May 7-8.
Similar works will be taking place on another stretch of the same road at Newtowndaly Cross on Wednesday & Thursday, May 8-9.
“In order to facilitate these works, the section of the L4211 in question will be temporally closed to through traffic between the hours of 7:30am & 7pm,” a council spokesperson said.
“As a consequence users of this road are requested to expect delays and as such should allow additional time for their journeys.’’
The contract for both sets of these works was awarded to the Dublin based Lagan Asphalt Ltd.
The county council apologised to motorists travelling in the area for any inconvenience they experience.
