Roadworks on the N65 near Loughrea got underway this morning and will be disrupting traffic in the area this week.

Galway County Council is carrying out resurfacing repair roadworks on the N65 at Gurtymadden and Killimor, Loughrea which got underway at 7am this morning.

The road repair works are expected to take two days to complete the county council said.

“In order to facilitate these works a Stop/Go temporary traffic management system will be in operation on the sections of the N65 in question between the hours of 7.00 a.m. & 7.00 p.m. on Tuesday 8th of October and Wednesday the 9th of October.”
